“Why did I choose orthodontics? While growing up, I was often teased about my “buck teeth”. After seeking the help of my orthodontist, I entered into a complex treatment plan of growth modification treatment with headgear, followed by braces. This turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me, it changed my life. My facial profile changed, my teeth were straightened, I was no longer being made fun of, and for the first time, I was able to smile with confidence! And furthermore, I loved going to the orthodontist, it was a great experience. I realized very early in my life that this is what I wanted to do. I want to help other people to have the same confidence that I have when I smile.”
