Your First Visit
Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out a New Patient form. Alternatively, please download the Medical History Form from this page, fill in the information, and bring it along when you come for your first appointment.
Initial Examination
Your dentist will begin by reviewing your medical and dental history and completing a thorough dental exam. The exams typically will include a thorough examination of your gums, teeth, bite, and jaw, an oral cancer screening, and any required x-rays.
Treatment Plan
Based on your history and examination, your dentist will develop a long-term dental treatment plan for you. Your dentist will also take the time to answer any questions you have about your dental health and treatment options.
Insurance & Payment
At Family Dental Care, we'll help you navigate payment and insurance options so you can focus on getting the dental care you need.
- Direct Billing to Insurance
We offer direct billing for most insurance plans. For your convenience, we can submit your insurance claim electronically without the need for paper forms and signatures.
- MSP Provincial Insurance
We accept Medical Services Plan (MSP), the provincial insurance program that pays for required medical services including dental care for British Columbia residents.
- Payment Methods
Any amounts not covered by insurance are your responsibility, and must be paid at the time of your appointment. We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit and credit card.
